Located down the cliff, there were 3 ways to go up/down from/to town and the port.
1. Walking the stairs
2. Donkey ride (EUR 5)
3. Gondola (cable car) (EUR 5 one way)
I walked down the stairs to get on the ferry for the volcanic tour and rode on a donkey to climb back to the town.
